About
Meet Dr Calvin Watkins
Dr Calvin Watkins obtained his MBChB degree from the University of the Free State in 2022. He then completed a two-year internship in KwaZulu-Natal, rotating between Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital and Dr Pixley Ka Isaka Seme Memorial Hospital. After his internship, Dr Watkins moved to Cape Town to complete his community service year in Mitchells Plain, rotating between Mitchells Plain District Hospital and Mitchells Plain Community Health Centre. In 2026, he obtained a Diploma in Primary Emergency Care from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa. Dr Watkins subsequently established this practice in Rondebosch to provide primary healthcare to individuals and families in the area.
Dr Watkins is passionate about providing cost-effective, holistic healthcare — getting to know his patients and their health over time, rather than treating each visit in isolation.

Cash-paying patients
Patients paying privately are welcome. Payment can be made by credit or debit card at the practice. Cash-paying patients are required to settle their account on the day of the consultation. Standard consultations are billed at R525 per 30 minute consultation.
